WhatsUpandWhere (www.WUAW.com) is an online bridge connecting local businesses with potential customers in specific geographical areas. WUAW offers a full-line of marketing and consulting products to small local businesses. The focus of these services is businesses get their own profiles, search engine optimization, Facebook management, and text message marketing.

Project Introduction:
Innate Media Group was asked to help develop and launch the WhatsUpandWhere online portal. Over the course of four months, IMG was asked to consult on the idea, brand, design, and ultimately requested to develop a highly functional and user-friendly online environment and business management system.
Problem:
When WhatsUpandWhere first approached IMG, they had an excellent idea and concept, but little understanding of how to technically achieve their objectives. WUAW didn’t have a look and feel, and needed to determine how to ensure their unique online requirements were user-friendly for customers, businesses, and their own staff.

Front end: Adobe Photoshop, xHTML, CSS, Flash, AJAX
Back end: PHP, MySQL, Custom Business Management System
Solution:
Innate Media Group took on the role of branding and web consulting to develop the strategy and company identity required to launch a massive interactive business portal. IMG built a custom business management system that allows administrators and business owners to edit their listings and information quickly, with little to no training required.
Our Approach:
Innate Media Group began by strategically looking at how users could experience the best, most easy to use online tool. IMG created a tool that allowed users to create custom day-plans and itineraries for specific geographic regions that also gave users directions to their desired locations. The tool also allows business owners to manage profiles, promote their offerings, and input targeted keywords to help boost their search engine rankings. Furthermore, WUAW can use the tool to manage their own staff, financials, and analyze sales results such as custom reporting.
Result/Benefits:
Since launching the website and online identity, WUAW began to generate substantial income from working with a wide variety of businesses throughout the United States. The results for businesses were quickly seen when owners reported a dramatic increase in their search engine rankings. WUAW now sees hundreds of businesses signing on to be a part of the community every month.
